Selling to the UK Ministry of Defence
CSL has extensive experience of the process of bidding competitively to the UK MOD for the provision of systems and services.
Our consultants include those who have held procurement appointments, from Grade 7 (Lt Col) up to 2 Star level in the MOD, including the Defence Procurement Agency and Equipment Capability branches. Others have experience in sales, marketing and bid management as managers in a wide variety of UK defence contractors.
Our former military consultants have user operational experience with the Royal Navy, Royal Marines, Army and Royal Air Force. Some have served on secondment to a variety of overseas forces in Europe, the Middle East, the Far East, Australasia and North America, while others have been overseas Defence Attachés with language experience including Arabic and Russian.
CSL offers professional support services to bona fide UK or overseas companies that wish to bid for UK MOD contracts, or to assist established defence contractors with their bids, including:
- Advice and practical assistance in approaching MOD appropriately
- Investigation and advice on likely MOD future requirements
- Interpretation of MOD system and procedures, e.g. Smart Acquisition
- Advice on bid strategy and teaming
- Finding appropriate UK teaming partners
- Provision of secure office space within 40 minutes' drive of the DPA
- Bid support: planning, Bid Management, writing, completion and despatch.
- Organisation and management of Bid Review Teams (Red Teams etc)
- Provision of review, assessment, management and study team staff
- Participation in projects where our expertise and skills are appropriate
