Directions to CSL at Piccadilly Mill, Stroud
From the North:
Take Junction 11A southbound off the M5. Continue on A417 to the Air Balloon roundabout, and then turn RIGHT. Go uphill, and then take NEXT RIGHT to Birdlip village. Follow main road in Birdlip, then turn LEFT towards Stroud (before steep hill downward). Continue to Foston’s Ash pub (first one you come to) then take LEFT FORK. Continue to Murco garage (first one you come to) then take NEXT RIGHT. At the T-Junction, BEAR RIGHT. Continue, passing a mock fortress (gatehouse) and a farm on your left before coming downhill towards the first houses of Stroud. Take FIRST LEFT (through traffic calming paraphernalia). Continue downhill until you see the first road junction on the left. At that junction, ignore the first left (sharp left) and take the adjacent LEFT TURN (church on your left). Take FIRST RIGHT into Lower Street, and then see Last Lap from All Directions below.
From London, Swindon and the East:
Take A419 towards Cirencester. Take exit signed Cirencester Industrial Area and Stroud. Follow signs around Cirencester towards Stroud. Continue to Stroud (about 15 mins) and at first traffic lights TURN RIGHT. Follow road up and along the hill until you see Stroud Hospital on the right (maternity hospital and car park on left). At the junction, GO STRAIGHT ACROSS (slightly right), and then see Last Lap from All Directions below.
From Bath and the South:
Take A46 northwards to Nailsworth. In Nailsworth, TURN RIGHT at (only) roundabout. Follow winding road up onto Minchinhampton Common, continuing until you reach Tom Long’s Post (major junction of several roads with signpost). TURN LEFT and continue down into Stroud to first traffic lights, then GO STRAIGHT ACROSS (slightly left). Follow road up and along the hill until you see Stroud Hospital on the right (maternity hospital and car park on left). At the junction, GO STRAIGHT ACROSS (slightly right), and then see Last Lap from All Directions below.
From the South West, Bristol, Severn Bridge:
Take M5 northwards to Junction 13, signed Stroud. Follow signs to Stroud, and then follow A419 signs towards Cirencester around town centre bypass (Dr Newton’s Way). After going under railway bridge, look for Waitrose on left. At next roundabout TURN LEFT, then IMMEDIATELY RIGHT, up Field Road. Take SECOND LEFT into Lower Street, and then see Last Lap from All Directions below.
From Wales, Gloucester and the West:
Follow signs to Stroud, and then follow A419 signs towards Cirencester around town centre bypass (Dr Newton’s Way). After going under railway bridge, look for Waitrose on left. At next roundabout TURN LEFT, then IMMEDIATELY RIGHT, up Field Road. Take SECOND LEFT into Lower Street, and then see Last Lap from All Directions below.
Last Lap from All Directions:
Enter Lower Street (narrow One Way street), ignoring sign on house that says Trinity Road. Look for the entrance to the Piccadilly Mill Yard, which is about 100 metres on your right. TURN RIGHT, adjacent to the white painted building occupied by The Mapping Place, into the Piccadilly Mill Yard. We are on the top floor of the left-hand mill building, up the metal staircase and up another flight of stairs. Parking is sometimes limited, but there is usually on-street parking nearby. If necessary park in the Hospital Car Park. Go around the block (down Lower Street, first RIGHT, first RIGHT again, first LEFT at Hospital, first Right into Hospital Car Park).
Getting out again:
Turn right out of the Piccadilly Mill yard, down Lower Street (One Way). Continue to the first mini-roundabout. If heading north, turn right uphill, otherwise turn left downhill, then left again at second mini-roundabout.
